Butterfly and Flower Canes<br>These Butterfly and Flower Canes are handmade by me (Jane Zhao). There are basic colors on each cane description. Most of the clay I use is Sculpey Premo polymer clay. Only the translucent part made with Sculpey III and Fimo clay to make the color lighter and more transparent.<br>I reduced their<br>diameter to half an inch (some are one inch D=1")<br>, and then cut each cane to<br>an inch length<br>. You can reduce them to any size you want. They are made or reduced fresh and uncured. I have some pictures to show you my designs, please use your creativity to make them more beautiful and interesting.<br>Production project:  I use a pasta machine to condition the base color of the clay, then slice the leaf, flower canes into very thin pieces, over layer each other... make them smooth, then slice one (or more) butterfly cane, I will<br>cut off the translucent part of the butterfly on the side<br>, apply it to the flowers.  If you like your design, please bake it.  After baking,<br>I will sand it to 8000 grids with special sandpapers. Smooth as silk.<br>The picture above is a cane from this batch, the others are from the same batch. They are cut by hand, so please allow me to have an error of 1 mm.<br>Premo! retains flexibility, so the finished product remains strong and durable.  It is very suitable for jewelry making, sculpting, indoor and outdoor home decoration.<br>Conditioning: Use a Pasta Machine to condition the clay.<br>Clay may stain.  Do not use on unprotected furniture surfaces.<br>Baking: Hardens in oven at 130C (275F) for 30 min per 6mm (1/4 in) thickness. Do not Microwave. Baking should be completed by an adult.<br>In 1997 I (Jane Zhao) started to use Premo!
